The Indore Smart City Development Limited and the Indore Municipal Corporation were awarded the CII- Indian Green Building Council (IGBC) Green City Platinum certification. This recognition makes Indore the first and only city in Madhya Pradesh and among the top three cities in India to get this award. The IGBC Green Cities rating recognizes a city for excellent initiatives, covering master planning, various environmental impacts in respect of water, energy, waste, e-governance, green cover & several other initiatives and policy interventions on which Indore has outperformed.

This award is a testament of Government of Madhya Pradesh’s leadership’s commitment towards sustainability and developing Indore City as a Green city, by adopting IGBC Green Cities rating program which has global recognition.
